Date of stay: May 2018 RGAdiga wrote a review Apr 2018 Bengaluru, India 23 contributions 14 helpful votes We visited in november and place was quite dry as the river water had already receded. Not much exciting for us. There are couple of cottages to stay. however i found them little unclean since it is cheap and taken care by forest department Date of stay: November 2017 Bangalore District, India 51 contributions 9 helpful votes This is an forest resort created on Island by Govt. of Karnataka. The entire Island is about 65 acres with rich cover of trees and there are enough watch towers to climb up and sit, also a small deer park. Boating can be done in the river. Reach to the resort is thru Hanging bridge. Cottages are of 2 types - full bamboo and semi concrete..... Full Bamboo cottages have nice Balcony and almost suspended on river (many of them are too old!! ).... space wise little small and amenities too are not that great unlike semi concrete ones which are spacious and good. Walking b/w bamboo and semi concrete cottages in night is little adventurous as lighting is not sufficient and its totally dark ( use mobile phone torch!! )

Bath and Bristol, two bona fide West Country gems, provide the yin and the yang to turn an ordinary holiday into an adventure of high contrasts and good times. Between them, Bristol and Bath offer up the best of both words, combining ancient history and contemporary cool. Bristol is at the forefront of urban innovation and green living with street art, a legendary (and loud) music and clubbing scene, as well as cultural institutions like the Arnolfini and Watershed. Just twenty minutes away by train is the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath, full of beautifully preserved history from the stunning Georgian architecture of the Royal Crescent to the Roman Baths - the only hot springs in England. And when it comes to a night out, it's certainly a tale of two cities. In Bristol, the evening kicks of with local cider before heading to a local club night to rave it up to the latest dubstep complete the Bath experience, dine out in the shadow of the Abbey, before letting the lush strings of an orchestra carry you away.
